Juanita Swartz Denton, 84 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be Monday, March 21, 2022, in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating.  Interment will be at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL.

Mrs. Denton was born August 12, 1937, in Lowndes County, MS to the late Hiram A. Swartz and Gertrude Land Swartz, she worked as a florist for many years at Noweta's Flower Shop, Columbus, MS.  Mrs. Denton was s member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS, and enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, and bird watching.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by her 4 brothers – Albert Swartz, Bill Swartz, Charles Swartz, and Carl Swartz.

Mrs. Denton is survived by her daughters – Deborah Williams, North Little Rock, AR, and Cathy Forrester, Aliceville, AL; sons – Hudson Denton, Jr. and Harold Denton, both of Columbus, MS; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and brother – Selvin Swartz.
