Judith Elaine Whitcomb, 78, of Caledonia, MS passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM with Brother Melvin Howton officiating in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Whitcomb was born February 22, 1938, to the late Ivan A. and Donna J. White Jones in Kansas. She spent 20 years at her most recent employment as CLEDA and several years as the Town of Caledonia's secretary. Ms. Whitcomb enjoyed crocheting, and she was a very inquisitive person. She was Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Ad Federation; Secretary/Treasurer of the Civitan Club; President of the Pilot Club; President of the Catholic Women's Circle; and Sunshine Person of the Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Whitcomb was preceded in death by her daughter-Renee Annette Kriley and brothers-Dick (Dottie) Jones and Bob (Dorothy) Jones.

Ms. Whitcomb is survived by son-Troy (Leigh) Kriley; daughter-Shelly Markham; sister-Jane (Norm) Zmora; 5 grandchildren-Kim (David) Trotter, Josh (Stephanie) Markham, Krista (Daniel) Hill, Jordan Kriley, and Jackson Kriley; and 6 great grandchildren-Abbie Trotter, Kennedy Trotter, Landon Hill, Austin Hill, Easton Hill, Hannah Markham.

Pallbearers will be Scott Williams, David Trotter, Daniel Hill, Casey Hill, Cory Hill, and Brett Bouchillon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Margie Lease, Theigh Cosby, Fay Dexter, Susie Vanlandingham, and Jane Lee.
