Judy Sims, 59, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

A memorial service will be Friday, March 25, 2016, at 4:00 PM with Pastor Sino Agueze officiating in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Sims was born August 17, 1956, to the late Calvin Fife, Jr. and Ora Nicks Fife in New Orleans, LA. She attended Riverdale High School in River Ridge, LA. She met her husband, Joseph M. Sims in 1972, and they have 3 daughters-Patricia, Michelle, and Lisa. Judy loved to sing, bake, and decorate cakes for her loved ones. She also enjoyed going to every garage sale and flea market she saw. Her beaming personality was contagious, and her gorgeous smile could light up the darkest of rooms. Her grandchildren were her life. Natalee, Dalton, Michaela, Caitlin, Cole and Kyle were her pride and joy, as well as her great-grandchild, Alyxa Lynn. She rarely met a stranger, and she loved to make people laugh. She will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband of 43 years - Joseph Mike Sims, Columbus, MS; daughters - Patricia (Paul) Gann and  Lisa Pruitt, both of Columbus, MS and Michelle (Joe) Roberts, Vernon, AL; grandchildren - Natalee King, Dalton King, Michaela Sims, Caitlin Sims, Cole Pruitt and Kyle Pruitt; great-grandchild - Alyxa Bowen; brothers - David (Carol) Fife, Sr., James Fife, Ralph (Darlene) Fife and Paul (Kim) Fife; sisters - Barbara Sanchez and Linda (Charles) Chaisson.
