Julie McMullin

Julie McMullin, 78 of Houston, MS, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Julie was born September 12, 1947, in Houston, MS, to the late Ellis Adron and Jewel Lorene Dendy. She enjoyed working at Columbus Marble Works for more than 40 years as a headstone engraver. Julie loved to hunt and fish, grow flowers, but especially adored spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Eaton, Mary Brand, Lamar Dendy, Pete Dendy, T.A. Dendy, Phil Dendy, and Punk Dendy.

Mrs. McMullin is survived by her husband, Dennis Thrash; sons, Timothy J (Alison Bigham) McMullin and Joseph A. McMullin; and grandchildren, Blake McMullin, Brody McMullin, Logan McMullin, and Remmi Bigham.
