Julius "Pete" Goodman, 84 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at his residence.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Rutledge officiating.

Mr. Goodman was born March 2, 1938, in Columbus, MS to the late Weyman and Sadie Shelton Goodman, Sr.  He worked in electric outside sales for many years.  Mr. Goodman loved all things John Deere, especially tractors.  He enjoyed gardening while he was able, and loved piano music and politics.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his sister – Rachel McGee, and Brothers – David Goodman and Weyman Goodman, Jr.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife – Elayne Franks Goodman; sons – Marty L. Goodman and Brian A. (Janet) Goodman; grandchildren – Jacob A. Goodman and Nicole (Elbert) Spruill; sister – Martha Waltman and numerous nieces and nephews.
