Sylvia "June" Hooper, 84, of Columbus, MS, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Garden Hill Assisted Living in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery, in Fernbank, Alabama.

Ms. June was born June 9, 1940, in Millport, Alabama to the late Hardy Davis Funderburk and Louise Ford Funderburk. She worked many years as an assembly worker. Ms. June was a devout Christian and loved studying the Bible. She was previously a Sunday school teacher and spoke at meetings. Ms. June was a shopaholic, who loved QVC and McRae's. In addition to her parents, Ms. June is preceded in death by her husband- John C. Hooper; sons- Jeffrey Lollar, and Billy Anthony "Tony" Hooper; brother- Billy Funderburk; and sister- Joyce Funderburk Taylor.

Ms. June is survived by her son – Daniel (Suzey) Hooper; daughter-in-law- Debbie Lollar; grandchildren- Victoria Hooper, Trey Hooper, Natalee Hooper, Zachary (Michelle) Lollar, Zebulon (Jennifer) Lollar, and April Lollar; 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings- Carolyn (E.J.) Lowery, Larry (Debra) Funderburk, Eddie Funderburk, Rita (Bob)  Balchus, and Darrell (Jeanie) Funderburk.
