John W. (J. W.) Richardson, 96, of Columbus, MS, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Bro. Russell Brown officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Richardson was born January 14, 1920, to the late Robert L. and Addie Donahoo Richardson in Pickens County, AL. He was retired from the City of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in  death by his wife-Kathryn Harrell Richardson; daughter-Kay Richardson Evans; brothers-Earl, Jim, and Robert Richardson; sisters-Effie Mae Bailey, Cappie Lampkin, Emma Ruth Richardson, and Grace Cooper.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his grandson-Chad (Courtney) Lanier, Rutledge, GA; great-grandchildren-Jacob Lanier, Hannah Lanier, Gracie Kay Lanier; several nieces and nephews; and special friend-Winston Oglesby.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
