Karen Marie Brown

Karen Marie Brown, 83, of Steens, MS, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Trinity Health Care of Columbus, MS.

Ms. Brown was born August 28, 1942, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late John Daniel Wilkerson and Mary Catherine Inks Wilkerson. She was a devoted military wife and loved her life. Due to her husband’s career, she was able to travel the world and enjoyed every minute of it. In addition to her parents, Ms. Brown is preceded in death by her brother, John Daniel “Danny” Wilkerson, Jr..

Ms. Brown is survived by her son, Jeffrey Riley (Tina Roxanne) Brown; daughter, Annemarie Wilkerson Brown ( R. Mathew) Evans; grandchildren, Kierston Lea (Cody Alan) DeWitt, John David Evans, Sarah Marie Evans, and Caleb Stephen Evans; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Renee DeWitt, Daniel Grayson DeWitt, and Autumn Grace DeWitt.
