Katelyn Ray, 25 of Steens, MS passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating and Bro. Joe Fondren assisting. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service.   Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Katelyn was born August 23, 1991 in Columbus, MS and lived here her entire life.  She attended New Hope High School and East Mississippi Community College.  She was a member of Community Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Katelyn enjoyed singing and painting; she loved animals and loved to watch her sisters play softball.

Katelyn is survived by her parents – Calvin and Tammy Perkins Ray, Steens, MS; sisters – Chelsey Ray and Mackenzie Ray; grandparents – Larry and Cora Perkins, Dewitt and Elaine Ray and Diana Kuehl; uncle and aunts – Jeff (Janell) Perkins and John (Tammy) Hall.

Pallbearers will be Will McReynolds, Bradley Nickoles, Miles Parker, Jerry Cade, Cole Eller and Rixie Mackey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Staff and Nurses at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle - ER and UAB 9th Floor.
