Kathleen Dodds Dupree, 83, went to her heavenly home on September 4, 2021, surrounded by family.

A celebration of life service is planned for a later date.

Kathleen was born in Reading, England on August 4, 1938, to the late Frederick and Dorothy Dodds. She met and married Leland Foster while he was serving in the US Army. They came to the states and settled in Irving, Texas, and started their family. The family moved to Columbus, MS in 1972. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25 years and retired in 1996. Kathleen was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family, especially her Shepherd's Pie. She enjoyed her many trips back home to England (across the pond) to visit family and friends. She met and married Bobby Dupree and had 18 wonderful years together. They enjoyed long walks with her golden retriever "Goldie Girl" and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of Plymouth Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dupree is preceded in death by her sister- Joyce Eacott.

Mrs. Dupree is survived by her husband- Bobby Dupree, daughters- Kathy Foster, Linda (Bart) Owings, and Traci Johnson all of Columbus, MS, Janet Dupree of Nashville, TN, Carole (John) Bensley of Caney, OK; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;  brother- Gerald (Valerie) Dodds of Ethelsville, AL; nephew- Geoffrey  (Janet) Eacott of East Ilsley, England; special friends- Kathy Taylor and Leigh Maxey.
