Katheryn "Kathy" Jean McDill, 73, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Armon McDill officiating. Interment will be at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon, Alabama. Lowndes Funeral Home will be directing.

Mrs. McDill was born May 20, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late William Lucas, Sr., and Beadie Ruth Butler Lucas. She worked in housecleaning for many years. Mrs. McDill was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved watching hummingbirds. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDill is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nina Marie Nonamaker, and siblings- William Lucas, Jr., and Shirley Plumb.

Mrs. McDill is survived by her husband- Waymon McDill; children- Ricky Allen (Karen "Heart") Curl, Jr., Angie (Kevin) Gann, and Leon Scott (Shanna) Curl; grandchildren- Alicia Dianne Curl, Misty (Justin) Pridmore, Amber Curl, Angel (Scott) Hoeckendorf, Skylar Gann, Chris Curl, Kayla Curl, and Riley Curl; 16 great grandchildren; siblings- Karen Matherne, Gary Lucas, Joanne Williams, and Lynn Plumb; step children- Angela (David) Morris, Brenda (Kevin) O'Mary, David (Amy) McDill, and Scott McDill; and numerous step grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Gann, Allen Curl, Jr., Jimmy Plumb, Kevin O'Mary, Brian Plumb, and David Morris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Lucas, Scott Curl, and David McDill.
