Robert Keith Wood passed away June 23, 2021 at his residence.

A visitation will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Keith was born on September 16, 1966 to Jimmy Ray and Brenda Wood. He graduated from Caledonia High School in 1984 and in 1991 he earned his Bachelor of Science degree of Broadcasting from Mississippi University for Women. Keith was a talented musician with a strong aptitude for teaching and playing guitar and he never missed an opportunity to do either. Keith appreciated all genres of music and loved jamming with anyone who was willing. He was also an avid and published writer of songs, short stories and poems. He was a true artist and a loyal friend, brother, husband and son. His quick wit, dry humor and hearty laughter will forever be missed. He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Ray Wood, Paternal Grandparents Robert dee and Katie Mae Wood, Maternal grandparents Schley John and Cleo Finch Atkins, his "Big Mama" Etta Atkins and his nephew Sloan Ian Atkins.

He is survived by his mother Brenda Atkins Wood, sister Lisa Wood Atkins and Brother in law Andrew Sloan Atkins.

Keith also leaves behind a multitude of adoring friends, family and his beloved pets Trixie and Blackie lawless.
