Kenneth Howard Hughes, 67, of Vaughn, MS, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at University Medical Center, Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.   There will be a reception following the services at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS.   The interment will be at Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Hughes was a loving son to his parents, the late Clarice Westbrook and Charles Hughes.  He was a farmer, a John Deere enthusiast, and a member of 4H, as well as a member of Shriners and Masons.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Hughes.

Kenneth Hughes is survived by his daughter – Allison Leigh Whiteside; grandchildren – Jude Lyle Whiteside and Wade Scott Whiteside; brothers – Jon (Amy) Jerome, Johnny Seabrooks, and George (Tiffany) Seabrooks; sisters - Susie (Mike) Latham and Sharon Ferguson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jon Jerome, Mike Latham, Dale Thames, Chuck Hughes, Randy Byrd, and Bo Boatner.  The honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Burns.
