Kenneth Lowell Kitcher, 78 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. A private family service will be held at a later date. Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kitcher was born May 12, 1935 to the late Walter & Mary Martha Simon Kitcher in Fort Wayne, IN he moved to Columbus, MS in October 2013 from Modesto, CA and previously from Anchorage, AK. Mr. Kitcher was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Modesto, CA and Annunciation Catholic Church, Columbus, MS. He was employed as a greeter at Walmart for 15 years. Mr. Kitcher enjoyed fishing, boating and always had a upbeat personality. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kitcher was preceded in death by his brothers - Donald Kitcher, Bill Kitcher, sisters - Jean Kitcher, Juanita Kitcher. Mr. Kitcher is survived by his daughters - Katherine (David) Dahlgren, Columbus, MS and Teresa (Michael) Yielding, Point St. Lucie, FL, sons - Keith (Deanna) Kitcher, Modesto, CA and Kenny Kitcher, Vancouver, WA, grandchildren - Kathy Jo Potter, Stacie Doyle, Heather Webster, Melissa Webster, A.J. Doyle, John Webster, Josh Webster, Stephanie Webster, Justin Dahlgren, Daniel Dahlgren, Hailey Kitcher, K.J. Kitcher and Katie Kitcher.
