Laberta Buford Woodson, 86, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Trinity Healthcare, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, November, 5, 2013 from 5:30-7 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Oak Lawn Cemetery Aberdeen, MS with Bro. Willis Logan officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Woodson was born February 14, 1927 in Louisville, MS to the late Harvey and Bertha Buford. She retired as co-owner of a service station in Aberdeen, MS after 50 years. Mrs. Woodson was an avid reader and love taking care of family. She also enjoyed listening to music especially country music. In addition to her parents Mrs. Woodson is preceded in death by her husband- Austin Lee Woodson, daughter- Dorothy Woodson, and grandchild- Emma Faith Smith. Mrs. Woodson is survived by her daughters- Earlene Pope, Columbus, MS, Orene Rawson, St. Louis, MO; brother- J.P. Buford, Starkville, MS; grandchildren- Kathleen (Donnie) Smith, Chelle (Jay) Cook, Nikki (Kelly) Raulerson, Alika (Jonathan) Logan, Lance Reed; great grandchildren- Anna Grace Smith, Daniel Smtih, Douglas Smith, Kyle Cruthirds, Reagan Cook, Brynn Raulerson, Kate Raulerson, Austin Logan, Ashton Logan. Pallbearers will be Donnie Smith, Kelly Raulerson, Lance Reed, Jay Cook, Jonathan Logan, Daniel Smith, Kyle Cruthirds.
