Larry Bedford Maxey, 74, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at his residence.

A graveside service will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Maxey was born on December 27, 1945, in Lowndes County, MS to the late Dorothy Maxey and Sam Bedford Maxey. He enjoyed restoring old tractors. Mr. Maxey served in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxey is preceded in death by his nephews-Steve Box, and Shawn Maxey; and his niece- Melissa Box.

Mr. Maxey is survived by his wife- Linda Brown Maxey of Columbus, MS; sisters- Dottie Dewberry, Doris (Wiley) Moree, Jenny (Wayne) Box, and Syble (Jerry) Forrester; nephews- David Moree, and Spencer Dewberry; nieces- Deirdre White, and Leslie Karin; great-nephews- Kevin Moree and Allen Michael White; great-nieces- Holly Banks and Lily Banks.
