Lathen Box, 29, of Coker, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

The memorial service will be Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Canaan Baptist Church in Columbus, MS.  A reception for family and friends will follow after the memorial service.  Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.

Lathen was born on November 21, 1994, in Columbus, MS to Larry Scot Box and Rhonda Box Perry.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Lathen loved being a dad and spending time with his family.

"To love him was the highest honor.  His laughter imprinted on everyone who ever heard it.  A smile would make everybody smile.  He was the person you could count on 24/7-365.  He would do anything for anyone.  He had a heart of gold and he loved deeply and wholeheartedly.  He may have struggled and he may have lost this battle, but Lathen Box will never be gone."

Lathen is preceded in death by his grandfather – Charlie Shaw; and his grandmother – Brenda Howard.  He is survived by his mother – Rhonda Box Perry; father – Larry Scot Box; sister – Ashley Box; brother – Collin Perry; wife – Randi Oliphant; daughter – Adalynn Elizabeth Box; son – Hudson Bailey Box; grandmother – Elizabeth Shaw; aunt – Jill Shaw (Benny) Reeves; uncle – Rodney Shaw; nephews – Waylon Ayers and Charlie Shepherd Box; cousins – Brandon (Jalynn) Williams and Carter Reeves; and 2nd cousin – James Bray Williams.
