Lee Hankey, 55, of Mt. Clemmons, MI passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS.

The Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 1, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. A graveside service is to follow at North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery on 2 Legion Road, Kilmichael, MS 39747 at 2:00 PM.

Mr. Lee was born to Rita (Pardy) Hankey and Ronald Hankey on February 16, 1964, in Mt. Clemmons, Michigan. He began his journey in the USAF in March of 1987. Lee met his wife, Dianna Christian, January of 1988 and fell in love and married February 18, 1989. They had 2 daughters, Carli Hankey, and Catherine (Hankey) Bigham. Lee retired from 20 years of active military service in September 2007 and continued to work for the Department of Defence. He was an MSGT and a highly respected member of the United States Air Force.  He loved his family and his wife dearly.

Preceded in death by Father, Ronald Hankey, and Brother, Robin Hankey.

Survived by Mother, Rita (Pardy) Hankey; Wife, Dianna (Christian) Hankey; Daughters, Carli Hankey and Catherine Bigham (Victor); Brothers, Rick Hankey (Babette) and Ronald Halseth (Maxine); Sister, Connie Robbins (Bob); Grandchildren: Fiona Mateer and Dakota, Drake, and Dixie Bigham. Along with many other loving family members.

Pallbearers will be Victor Bigham, Colby Hankey, and Eddie Watt.

"If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever."
