Lena Joyce Cantrell, 72, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Helton officiating. Interment will be at Furnace Hill Cemetery, Vernon, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Cantrell was born July 7, 1945, in Columbus, MS to the late Sidney L. Kidd and the late Ruby Fortner Kidd. She was a member of Caledonia United Methodist Pentecostal Church, Caledonia, MS. Ms. Cantrell worked in security for Ceco Building Corp. for years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Johnnie J. Cantrell and her son- Joseph Tedford.

Ms. Cantrell is survived by her son- Jason Tedford of Amory, MS; daughter- Debra Foster of Amory, MS; step-son- Roger Cantrell; grandchildren- Monica Tedford, Jessica Tedford, Veronica Tedford, Cameron Schultz, Olivia Shultz, Rylee Tedford, Eric Tedford, Natalie Schultz, Callie Harrison, and Sadie Harrison; great-grandchild- Jonathan Tedford; step-grandchildren- Ivie Nath, Kyle Nath, Harley Cantrell, and Lex Cantrell; sister- Linda Lee; and brothers- Lindwood Kidd and Randy Hollingsworth.

Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Cameron Schultz, and Cliff Wilson.
