Leonor M. Dobbel, 86, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Pioneer Hospital, Aberdeen, MS. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 10 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Father Robert Dore officiating. Ms. Dobbel was born June 23, 1927 in New York, New York to the late Jose Tomas and Maria Carlota Perez Marquez. She moved to Columbus in 1988 from Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to her parents, Ms. Dobbel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Dobbel. Mrs. Dobbel is survived by daughter - Andra (Terry) Brown, Columbus, MS; sons - Charles (Nancy) Dobbel, Sycamore, IL and Kurt Dobbel, Columbus, MS; brother - Jose Eduardo Marquez, Caracas, Venezuela; and grandchildren - Andrew (Cody) Brown, Charles Randolph (Chas) Brown, Terry Wayne (Boomer) Brown, Maurelys B. Dobbel, Andra L. Dobbel, and Isabel C. Dobbel. Pallbearers will be Cody Brown, Chas Brown, Boomer Brown, Key Pittman, Josh Carwile, Brent Hallmark, and Brandon Dozier.
