Leslie David Strait 66 of Steens, MS passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – East Memphis.

A graveside service will be Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Steens, MS at 2:00 PM with Andy Tentoni and David McCluncy officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Strait was born August 15, 1952, to the late Royal "Roy" and Mary Antoinette Storey Strait in Columbus, MS.  He was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church, Steens, MS.  Mr. Strait was a self-employed contractor; he also was a Methodist minister and worked as a supervisor at Superior Fish in Brooksville, MS. In addition to his parents, Mr. Strait was preceded in death by a grandchild – Bella Strait.

Mr. Strait is survived by his wife – Shirley Cochran, Steens, MS; daughters – Sabrina Strait and Margaret Strait; sons – David (Starla) Strait, Paul (Kathryn) Strait, and Michael Strait; 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; and brother – Mahlon Strait.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Transplant/LVAD Baptist Memorial in Memphis and the Nursing staff for Mississippi HomeCare.
