Lillian Maxine Rea Stokes, 86, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Clark officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Stokes was born December 7, 1931 to the late Carlton and Florence Brown Rea in Monroe County, MS. She was an inspector at the garment plant in Amory, MS for many years. Mrs. Stokes enjoyed working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband- Vigil Eugene Stokes; daughter- Sherry Kaye Richardson; 2 grandchildren and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Stokes is survived by her sons- Rex Stokes, Ron Stokes and Ricky Gene Stokes all of Columbus, MS; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wales, Kenny Stokes, Kevin Stokes, Ron Stokes, Rex Stokes, and Ricky Gene Stokes.
