Lloyd Roberts Pate, age 85, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 3:30 PM at New Hope United Church, Columbus, MS with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM. .

Mr. Pate was born on June 2, 1933, in Pickens County, AL to the late Samuel L. Pate and Edna Roberts Pate. He was a Chief Master Sargent in the United States Air Force for many years.

Mr. Pate is survived by his wife- Rosemarie Schott Pate of Columbus, MS; sons- Richard (Liddie) Pate of Pontotoc, MS and Robert (Stephanie) Pate of Columbus, MS; daughter0 Donna (Phillip) Walker of Columbus, MS; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters- Jean Dodson, Betty Methney, and Pat Leroy; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
