Lois Joan Smith, age 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center, West Point, MS.

The family will hold a private service Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 19, 1934, in Elgin, IL to the late Clifford and Ruth Swanson Olesen. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband- Chall Smith and sister- Jean Sazinski.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters- Vonnie (Roy) Hubbard of Cedar River, MI, Leann (George) Vandermissin, and Sandy (John) Prince; sons- Steve Smith and Michael (Jean) Johnson; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
