Lona T. Rice, 62, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Service will be on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Joe Fondren officiating.

Ms. Rice was born on May 13, 1962, in Greenwood, MS to Regina Colvin Lollar and the late John Lindsay Tennent, III. Lona worked as an administrative assistant for many years. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church in Columbus, MS.  Lona was an avid MSU football fan, she loved 80's music, especially Bon Jovi, and she loved reading.  Lona loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. In addition to her dad- John Lindsay Tennent, III, Lona is preceded in death by her brother- John Lindsay Tennent, IV; and grandson- Jacob Reid Fosberg.

Ms. Rice is survived by her daughters- Caitlin (Hayes) Baker, Lindsay (Tyler) Hankins, Hannah Rice, and Miranda Eads Dale; mother- Regina Colvin Lollar; grandchildren- Connor Fosberg, John Ross Dale, Kanaan Price, and Colvin Baker; and The Colvin family and numerous friends.
