Lorene Lancaster Bryant, 94 of Columbus, MS passed away, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Trinity Personal Care, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2017, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating.  Interment will be in Mt Zion Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bryant was born February 4, 1924, to the late Early Edward and Margaret Nettie McAteer Lancaster in Columbus, MS.  She worked at Lowndes County Health Department for many years.  Mrs. Bryant was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS where she taught Sunday School.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by Brown Bryant, Steve Bryant and 14 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her children– Margaret (Jimmie) Poole, Hattiesburg, MS, Richard Bryant, Brooksville, MS, Karen (Joe Dee) Hollis, Columbus, MS, Myra (Gene) Gillis, Columbus, MS and Lynne Bryant, Manitou Springs, CO; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hollis, Jason Hollis, Jon Gillis, Jake Hollis, Chas Sanford and Tommy Sanford.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dee Hollis, Jimmie Poole, Gene Gillis, Nancy Vaughan, Mike Bryant, Scott Bryant, Richie Bryant and a special thank you to the staff of Trinity Personal Care and Camilla Hospice.
