Lou Ella "Susie" Gray, 86 formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center,  Plano, TX.

A graveside service will be Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Ray Crane officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Gray was born September 11, 1936, in Swiftown, MS to the late Willie E  and Nora Carraway Jordan.  She was married in Sunflower, MS to Joe Gray on September 3, 1959.  She was a longtime resident of the New Hope Community and moved to Texas in recent years to be closer to family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband – Joe Gray.

Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughters – Sharon Gray and Sandra Gray; son – William Gray; sister – Ruth Ann Free and brother – Billy D. Jordan.
