Louise West, 85, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church from 9 to 11 a.m. with services to begin at 11 a.m. with Brother Steve Brown officiating together with Dr. Josh Daffern and Brother Tim Williams assisting. Lowndes Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
Mrs. West was born May 29, 1930, the only child of Molloy Farley and Ruby Farley. She married Rudy West on February 18, 1949. She and her husband, Rudy, were charter members of Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus and were members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for over 50 years. She served her community as a Pink Lady for 26 years at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle and in November of 2015 was recognized as the Volunteer of the Month. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy West, her father, Molloy Farley, her mother, Ruby Farley Jarvis and step-father, Roy Jarvis.
Mrs. West leaves two sons, Ronnie (Donna) West, and Steve (Joy) West, and one daughter, Kathy (Greg) Arinder. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Brandi (Todd) Odom, Brodie (Sara) West, Stephanie (Richard) Gregg, Stacie (Rob) Winklepleck, Brad Arinder (Audrey Moss, fiancé), Lauren (Curtis) Neyman. She had 9 great grandchildren, Cade and Cooper Odom, Chance and Roni Kate West, Steven and Samuel Gregg, Brecken and Brantley Winklepleck and Andrew Neyman. She also leaves her brothers and sisters-in-law, W.V. and Anne West and Wayne and Elaine West and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brodie West, Todd Odom, Richard Gregg, Rob Winklepleck, Brad Arinder, Curtis Neyman, Bill West and Don West.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Spainhour, Terry Westmoreland, Taco James, Ernie Williams, Ronny Harrison, Phillip Long, Dudley Reeves, Nellie Caldwell, Butch and June Bell, Lois Neyman, Dr. Ryu Peter Tofts, Dr. Jack Reed, employees of West Brothers Construction, and her caregivers, Vivian Lions, Lula McCradic and Katherine Thomas.
