Luther D. Simpson, 88, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East Memphis.

Mr. Simpson was born November 20, 1931, in Lauderdale County, AL to the late Lee Walker and Onna Simpson.  He retired out of the United States Air Force after 29 years as an SMSGT. Mr. Simpson enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by his grandchild- Kristina Howell.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife of 63 years- Ellen Gray Simpson of Columbus, MS; daughters- Wanda Allred, Pamela Simpson, and Charlotte bullock; son- David Simpson; grandchildren- Brandon Simpson, Luke Anderson, Christopher Simpson, and Sarah Simpson; and 4 great-grandchildren.
