Lynda Herrington, 65 of Columbus, MS passed away, Sunday, May 27, 2018, at her residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Vibrant Church, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Ron Delgado officiating and Bro. Jason Delgado assisting.  Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Herrington was born September 7, 1952, in Oakridge, TN to the late Michael "Mike" and Melissa Katherine "Kay" Coonce Morock and moved to Columbus, MS in 1973.  She was a graduate of Meridian High School Class of 1970 and married Ronnie Herrington in 1973 in Meridian, MS.  Mrs. Herrington was a member of Vibrant Church, Columbus, MS and loved being involved in church and with her family.  She worked as the office manager with T&M Steel for 14 years. Mrs. Herrington loved working outside with her flowers and feeding the hummingbirds.   In addition to her parents, Mrs. Herrington was preceded in death by her son – Jonathan Craig Herrington.

Mrs. Herrington is survived by her husband of 44 years – Ronnie Herrington, Columbus, MS; daughters –  Amy Herrington (Ben) Peal, Columbus, MS and Ashley Marie (Michael) Looney, Decatur, AL; brother – David (Rita) Morock, Las Cruces, NM; 6 grandchildren – Hannah Marie Hepler, Hayden Elizabeth Hepler, Hallie Grace Hepler, Celia Kathryn Peal, Jonathan Evan Peal, Emma Caroline Peal.

Pallbearers will be John Ledbetter, Ben Peal, Jonathan Peal, Michael Looney, Tim Herrington and Gavin Breazeale.
