Lyonel Ray Gilmore, age 71, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his residence.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Gilmore was born on March 24, 1947, in Lowndes County, MS to the late Elmon Leo and Jewel Erlene Stanford Gilmore. He loved to go fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by his brothers- James Larry Gilmore, Purvis Wayne Gilmore, and Hubert Earl Gilmore; and his sisters-Letha Carr, and Wanda Weir.

Mr. Gilmore is survived by his son- Lyonel Christian (Leah) Gilmore of Tupelo, MS; brothers- Huey Gilmore of Pickensville, AL, and Royce Gilmore of Columbus, MS; sister- Cynthia Goldman of Bessemer, AL; and grandchildren- Erin Gilmore, Robyn Gilmore, and Kaylynn Gilmore.
