Margaret LaFrancis Lowery, age 95, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 6, 2018, at Trinity Health Care, Columbus, MS 39702.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside will follow at 3:30 PM in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Lowery was born on October 26, 1922, in Cleveland, MS to the late Robert Lee and Alma Geneva Taylor McPherson. She was a member of Assembly of God, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Lowery worked as an assembly line worker for United Technologies for 27 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Thomas Onzie Lowery; sisters- Doris Viola Boswell, Edna Christine Robertson, and Betty Jean Harper; brother- Raymond Lee McPherson; and son-in-law- Gary Haley.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her daughters- Linda Haley of Columbus, MS, and Peggy Lower of Ray City, GA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and brother- Robert Lee McPherson.

Pallbearers will be Ashley Cargile, Dennis McGee, Dillon Cargile, Aaron Cargile, Ross Chunn, and Beau Beatty. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Forrester, Charlie Owen, Dr. Woodward, and the Staff and Nurses at Trinity Health Care.
