Margene P. Godwin Margene Patridge Godwin, 74 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Godwin was Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 1 – 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Services were held Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Clark Richardson officiating. Interment was in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Godwin was born July 22, 1937 in Pickensville, AL to the late John E. and Imogene Acker Patridge. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 15 years having moved from Starkville, MS. Mrs. Godwin was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Godwin is survived by her sons – Gary (Janine) Godwin, Houston, TX; Scott Godwin, Memphis, TN; sisters – Peggy Linley, Starkville, MS; Sue Page, Dallas, TX; grandson – Evan Godwin; and her nephews. Pallbearers were family members.
