Mrs. Margie Leona Mason McRae, 78, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation was Monday, August 10, 2015, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1:00PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Interment will be at Lone Oak Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. McRae was born May 24, 1937 to the late Harvey Bryant Mason and Ollie Frances Smith in Columbus, MS. She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters-Myrtie Honeycutt and Martha Vaughn. Mrs. McRae is survived by her loving husband-Robert McRae, Columbus, MS; daughters-Melissa McRae, Robbie Sprouse, and Tammy (Jody) Baker, all of Columbus, MS; sons-Jeff McRae and Mark McRae, both of Columbus, MS and Greg (Amy) McRae, Vernon, AL; sisters-Lois (Charles) Vincent, Hastings, MI; Christine (Roger) Perrigin, Columbus, MS; Doris (Freeman) Petty, Pinebluff, NC; Frances Cooper, Columbus, MS; Inez (Freeman) Harcrow, Reform, AL; Margaret (Leslie) Baucom, Steens, MS; and Thelma (Steve) Strickland, Columbus, MS; brothers-Jack (Sue) Mason, Columbus, MS; Bill (Maxine) Mason, Steens, MS; James (Debra) Mason, Columbus, MS; Rufus (Jane) Mason, Steens, MS; grandchildren-Monica (Jason) Montgomery, Justin (Terri) Everhart, Nathan Sprouse, Savannah Baker, Andrew McRae, Shaun McRae, and Connor McRae; 7 Great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews and other beloved family members. Pallbearers will be Justin Everhart, Nathan Sprouse, Andrew McRae, Bill Mason, Eli Perrigin, Rufus Mason, and Blaine Walters. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Mason, James Mason, Billy McRae, and Jimmy Jordan.
