Maria Kyoko Lawson, 54, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Lawson was born October 1, 1962, in San Fernando Valley, CA to Vera Fevier Greenland and the late Allan Greenland of Los Angeles, CA. She was a member of Church of Christ. Mrs. Lawson worked as a DMV Investigator. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family very much. In addition to her father- Allan Greenland, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her daughter- Melina Cheynne Pruitt of Gordo, AL; grandchildren- Railyn Pruitt and Cailey Goad of Gordo, AL.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by her husband- Jimmy Lawson of Columbus, MS; son- Chris (Spring) Lawson of Caledonia, MS; daughter- Brandy (Marvin) Luttrell of Visalia, CA; 7 grandchildren; mother- Vera Fevier Greenland; and a special friend- Robin Elmore.
