Marilynn Baucom Marilynn Jean Baucom, 38 of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, April 09, 2011 at Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 6 – 9 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Community Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Wes Jones officiating. Interment will be in Murrah's Chapel Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Baucom was born March 3, 1973 in Columbus, MS to the late Hubert Gene and Mary Evelyn Richardson Bailey. She was previously employed with New Hope High School as a teacher assistant. Mrs. Baucom was a member of Community Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and Breast Friends at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS. She enjoyed reading, camping, gardening, especially flowers, and loved her church family and helping the Special Education Class at New Hope High School. Mrs. Baucom is survived by her husband – David Searcy Baucom, Jr., Columbus, MS; son – Matthew David Baucom, Columbus, MS; brother – Greg Bailey, Columbus, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Todd Bailey, Cody Bailey, Lance Lehr, Robert Richardson, Albert Richardson and John Lehr. Honorary Pallbearers were Mike Hanson, Dane Boyd, Chuck Anderson, Paul Whaley, Rusty Kilpack, Nick Taylor and Men of Community Baptist Church.
