Marjorie Featherston, 86, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Breck Ladd officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Featherston was born February 27, 1930, to the late John Irving and Annie Valentine McAlexander in Holly Springs, MS. She has lived in Columbus for over 60 years, where she worked as a bookkeeper for and auto parts company for about 35 years. Mrs. Featherston was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband-John L. Featherston.

Mrs. Featherston is survived by her daughters-Brenda F. (David) Dabbs, Columbus, MS and Carol F. (John) Brown, Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Shannon Brown (Landon) Griffin, Kimberly Brown (Randy) Luna, Hunter Brown, Roman Dabbs, and Kristina Dabbs; great grandchildren-Sara Vonkanel, Matison Vonkanel, Kayleigh Griffin, and Kayden Griffin.

Pallbearers will be John W. Brown, David Dabbs, Hunter Brown, Roman Dabbs, Clay Brame, Landon Griffin, and Randy Luna.
