Mark Steven Smith, 48, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

Mark was born August 17, 1970, in Birmingham, AL to Paul and Emily Smith. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of Berney Points Baptist Church in Hoover, AL. Mark was self-employed as an independent contractor, where he travelled often. Mark was a hard worker and was dedicated to his duties as a contractor, he passed away actively pursuing his passion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with being an avid sports fan. He loved his family and was enjoying his time as a Dad raising his son Cade.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mills and Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Smith.

He is survived by his parents: Paul and Emily Smith of Columbus; Daughters: Mary Katherine (Brandon) Blackwell of Deatsville, AL and Sarah Rachel Smith, a Sophomore at Auburn University; Son: Maddox Cade Smith of Columbus; Sisters: Elizabeth Anne Smith of Panama City Beach, FL and Rebekah Lynn (Brian) Brophy of Leeds, AL; and Brother: David Matthew Smith of Birmingham, AL.
