Mark Douglas Turner, 69, of Columbus, MS, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Windsor Place in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS with Kevin Cuthbertson officiating. Interment will follow.

Mr. Turner was born June 30, 1954, in Columbus, MS, to Sue Turner (Shelton) and the late Jack Douglas Turner. Mr. Turner was a computer systems analyst and worked for Ceco for 47 years. Mr. Turner attended First Baptist Church of Columbus, MS. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time in the yard and being on his tractor. Mr. Turner enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially loved watching his granddaughters play softball. In addition to his father, Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his son- Ryan Douglas Turner, and his sister- June Turner Baird.

Mr. Turner is survived by his wife- Anita Faris Turner; daughter- Kala Turner (Eric) Blakely; son- Luke Turner; grandchildren- Shelby Blakely, and Ella Blakely; sisters- Susan (Greg) Noland, and Gail Pounders; mother- Sue Jones (David) Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews; mother-in-law- Peggy Ferguson; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Greg Noland, Sherman Faris, Bryan Faris, Jakob Baird, Doug South, and Nick Cunningham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Shackelford, Kelly Carter, First Baptist Church, and Employees of Ceco Metal Buildings.
