Mark Alan Veazey, 52 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Mitch McWilliams officiating.

Mr. Veazey was born August 30, 1964 in Canton, MS and has lived in Columbus for the past 30 years.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Veazey worked for Sunrise Pools Construction for 30 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved being with his grandchildren.  Mr. Veazey was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his step-dad – Norman Cormier.

Mr. Veazey is survived by his daughter – Brittany (Cody) Childs, Columbus, MS; step daughter – Nicole (Jonathan) Goodman, Columbus, MS and step-son – Trey Flora, Columbus, MS; mother – Sarah Veazey Cormier, Columbus, MS; father – Terrell Lamar (Grace) Veazey, Sr., Virginia; sister – Tara Veazey, Virginia; brothers – Terrell "Terry" (Lisa) Veazey, Jr., Columbus, MS and Carl (Allison) Veazey, Columbus, MS; former wife – Donna Veazey, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Adalynn Childs and Ava Childs of Columbus, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
