Martha Nell Hudspeth Brown, 86 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

A private family service will be Monday, May 18, 2020,  in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Brown was born September 2, 1933, to the late Robert Alvin and Lurleen Wallace Hudspeth in Craig Springs, Oktibbeha County, MS.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Mrs. Brown retired in 2003 after 33 years as a realtor with West Caldwell Bankers Real Estate.  She enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, cooking, and gardening.  She especially loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband - James L. Brown; sister – Edna Smith and 3 brothers – Joseph Hudspeth, Cliff Hudspeth, and Wayne Hudspeth.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters – Beth Dedeaux, Columbus, MS, and Tammy (Kevin) Forrester, Columbus, MS; son – Robert L (Alisa) Brown, Hamilton, MS; sister – Kathryn Rhett, Columbus, MS; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
