Martin James Rice, 66 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020.

His family will hold services at a later date. Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rice was born August 7, 1953, in Perth, Australia to the late Donald and Lily Hanrahan Rice and serviced in the Australian Navy.  He enjoyed playing golf, spending quality time with his daughters and having a glass of scotch and a cigar.  Mr. Rice was retired from Tronox, Hamilton, MS where he was an Area Leader for over 20 years.

Mr. Rice is survived by his daughters – Caitlin Rice, Columbus, MS, Lindsay Rice, Columbus, MS, Hannah Rice, Columbus, MS, Estelle Rice, Perth, Australia and Miranda Dale, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Lleyton Poore, Keanu Poore, Violet Poore, Eleanor Poore, Wyatt Poore, Connor Fosberg and John Ross Dale; sister – Ann Paton; brother – Michael Rice; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be current and previous co-workers at Tronox, Martin Booth, Dustin Goodwin, and Richard Cagle.
