Mary Yvonne "Vonnie" Bjorklund, 67, of Columbus, MS passed away, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church, Columbus, MS with a funeral service following  at 11:00 AM with Father Robert Dore officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bjorklund was born August 2, 1947 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell O'Neal Partain in Columbus, MS.  She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Columbus, MS. She was a registered nurse and director of nursing at Vineyard Court Nursing Center, Columbus, MS.   She was very dedicated to nursing and had a passion to take care of others.  Mrs. Bjorklund loved to play BINGO and needle craft.  She won many blue ribbons for her artwork at various fairs and craft shows.

Mrs. Bjorklund is survived by her husband  - Walter Robert Bjorklund, Jr, Columbus, MS; stepchildren – Sherri (Andy) R. Pettit, West Point, MS and Robert Anthony Bjorklund, Columbus, MS; grandchild – Meagen Diane Pratt.


Pallbearers will be Kenny Pate, Andy Pettit, Tommy Patterson, James Edwards, Jerry Gibson and Billy Quick.
