Mary Lue Clardy Huffman Mary Lue (Clardy) Huffman, 93 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS. Graveside Services for Mrs. Huffman will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2 PM at the Andrews Chapel Cemetery, Ethelsville, Pickens Co., AL with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating; Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Huffman was born June 1, 1917 in Pickens Co., AL to the late George B. and Addie Bell Ruffin Clardy. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 22 years having moved from Chula Vista, CA and a member of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mrs. Huffman was a café owner having retired in 1970. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wilson Huffman and brother, Clayton Clardy. Mrs. Huffman is survived by her sons, Curtis Wilson "Sonny" Huffman, Jr., Mesa, AZ; Earnest Hewitt Huffman, Collinsville, IL; sister, Otley (Clardy) Swartz, Steens, MS; brothers, Walter Byron Clardy, Caledonia, MS; Andrew James Clardy, Millport, AL; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
