Mary Alice Reed Conn, 71 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at her residence. Visitation was Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home , Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Conn was born October 24, 1941 in Louisville, MS to the late Clint and Lucille Miles Reed. She worked as an Architectural Engineer with the Government for 12 years. Mrs. Conn was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She enjoyed reading, playing poker machines, and taking care of her children. Her family was her life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Donald McKay. Mrs. Conn is survived by daughters- Vickie Reynolds and Teresa Bryant both of Columbus, MS, brothers-Woodrow (Elisa) Reed, Philadelphia, MS and Mike (Marilyn) Reed of Louisville, MS., grandchildren-Donavan Dies, Tiffany McKay, Blake Reynolds, Briana Reynolds, Blaise Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, Blade Reynolds and Britney Bryant, great grandchildren- Meagan Edwards, Brantley Bishop, Brenston Bishop, Jadyn Smith, Taylor Baggett McKay, Trenton Baggett, Morgan Loper and Levi Dies. Pallbearers will be Trevor Weeks, Tyler Richardson, Cory Boone, Dalton Haygood, Travis Frembgen and Grant Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Reed, Christopher Reed and Jason Reed.
