Mary Obie Knight, 83 of Columbus MS passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus MS. Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 5:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Columbus MS. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel Columbus MS with Bro. Sammy Crawford and Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus MS directing. Mrs. Knight was born Thursday, November 13, 1930 to the late L.E. & Maggie R. Perrigin Blaxton in Lowndes County, MS. She lived in Columbus her entire life and worked as a seamstress in the Garment Industry. Mrs. Knight was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knight is preceded in death by her husband - Edward Knight, brother - Robert L. Blaxton, and sister - Mildred Montgomery.
