Mary Wilson Swanzy Linn, 93, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at her residence. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 9:30am-11:00am at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Smith officiating and Bro. David Westmoreland assisting. Interment will be at Rowan Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Linn was born December 4, 1921 to Audley E. Swanzy and Lorene Wilson Swanzy in Lowndes County, MS. She has lived in the area her entire life, where she met and married her late husband W. A. Linn. Mrs. Linn was an active church member at Border Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. She retired in 1983 from United Technologies, where she was a machine operator for 28 years. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Linn is preceded in death by her sons-Billy Linn and David Linn; her brothers-A. E. Swanzy, Jr., Earl Swanzy, and T. L. Swanzy; and sister-Frances Richardson. She is survived by her son-Tom (Cynthia) Linn, Steens, MS; daughter-in-law-Diane Linn, Caledonia, MS; sister-Elizabeth Green, Columbus, MS; sister-in-laws-Betty Joe Swanzy and Audrene Linn; grandchildren-Tony (Michelle) Linn and Amy (Jeff) Gillian; great-grandchildren-Aaron Linn, Blake Ridgley, Dottie (Patrick) Wheat, Dylan Pounders; great great granchildren John Wheat and William Wheat; and special friend-Grace Mann. Pallbearers will be Tony Linn, Aaron Linn, Blake Ridgley, Dylan Pounders, Harold Partain, Larry Green, Mitch Wiggins, Glenn Wilson, Jeffery Duncan, and Jeff Gillian. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frances Smith Joy's Sunday School Class, Dr. Doyle Sumrall, Dr. Bart Williams, John Partain, Tommy Wiggins, and Wilburn Beatty.
