Mary J. Callahan Mary J. "Molly" Callahan, 85 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS. A memorial service for Mrs. Callahan will be held at a later date in Dunedin, FL. Mrs. Callahan was born January 10, 1926 in Coatbridge, Scotland to the late Joseph O'Brien and Margaret Wallace O'Brien. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past two and one-half years having moved from Dunedin, FL. Mrs. Callahan attended Annunciation Catholic Church, Columbus, MS. She retired in 1999 as a Surgical Tech at Mease Hospital with 37 years of service. She was a member of "The Red Hat Society" and enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crafting and baking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband - Edd Callahan and brother - Hugh O'Brien. Mrs. Callahan is survived by her daughter – Margaret (Michael W.) Maloney, Columbus, MS; son – Paul Marleau, Windsor, ON Canada; grandchildren – Julie Gumus and Matthew Maloney. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities, 200 N.
