Mary Lucille Morgan, aged 84, died peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Columbus, MS. Funeral Services for Mrs. Morgan will be Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wes Jones officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery Columbus, MS. Mrs. Morgan was born to the late Ollie Young and Donnie Taylor Aldridge on March 27, 1928 in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Morgan loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pleasure in cooking delicious meals for her family and enjoyed nothing more than swinging on her front porch. She played Uno for hours on end with her grandchildren, always reminding them about the story of the tortoise and the hare. During her working years, Mrs. Morgan was employed at American Bosch, kept the books for her husband's business, Town Auto Service, and worked in Medical Records at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center. She was a devout Christian and a long-time member of First Church of the Nazarene. Most recently, she attended Community Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her sons, George Wayne Morgan and Roger Allen Morgan; two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Henry Lee Morgan; son, Henry "Squirrel" Morgan and wife, Cindy; daughter, Martha David and husband, Paul S., all of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Chris David and wife, Jennifer; Eric David and wife, Sandy; Carrie Baucom and husband, Jamie, all of Columbus, MS; Joe Morgan of Brookhaven, MS; Jason Morgan of Starkville, MS; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Chris David, Eric David, Joe Morgan, Jason Morgan, Bob Taylor and George Wayne Perkins. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Doyle Sumrall, Ed Sprouse, Billy Crossley, Morris Bryant, Claudine Lewark, Roger Tousley, Ronnie Atkins, A.J. Price, ComForcare employees and Rance and Belinda House. Mrs. Morgan's family is very appreciative to the third floor and Critical Care Unit nurses and staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle for their love and care during her final days.
