Mary Ellen Parker, 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away on January 16, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, entrusted with all arrangements.

Mrs. Parker was born July 3, 1943, in Adamsville, TN to the late William Logan Boswell and Sarah English Boswell. She was a homemaker for many years. Mrs. Parker loved to sew quilts and make flower arrangements. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing games with her grandchildren.  Mrs. Parker liked going to yard sales. She enjoyed singing Gospel songs and was a member of Bass n' Gals. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her husband- Charles Ray Parker; sister- Joann Gross; and brothers- Hubert Boswell and James Boswell.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughters- Terrie Calahan, and Angela Parker; granddaughters- Andria (John) Runyon, Camille (Michael) Adams, McKenzie McCabe; grandsons- Parker (Ellie) Euer, and Noah Frazier; great-granddaughter- Nila Runyon, and Alena Adam; great-grandsons- Nicholas Runyon, and Landon Adams; sisters- Shirley White, Sally (Allen) Leonhard, brother- Buster Boswell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
